Discover my interests and inspiration behind some of my recent and past works.
My Art Practice has evolved using Sketching, traditional detailed Drawing and Contemporary Painting
in various media, including the development of 'freestyle' machine embroidery stitching as part of my paintings.
Earlier landscapes and seascapes have given way to works featuring atmospheric landscapes of light and colour.
Exploring evocative dynamics of pattern and the interaction of textures and shapes with the play of light
are currently leading to abstract expression beyond realism.
As a professional Artist and Tutor, my work has been widely exhibited and published.
I have had many solo exhibitions and frequently take part in numerous group exhibitions,
particularly across North Wales where I have lived for over 38 years.
My artwork features in public and private collections in the UK and abroad.
I regularly give tuition, talks and demonstrations to groups in North Wales and Cheshire.
These are comprehensive - covering Drawing, Painting, Mixed Media and Textiles techniques.
